These activities are popular year round since Colorado typically has 300+ days of sunshine per year. Unknown to many people is the large amount of public art, especially sculpture, that can be found around Denver. The Denver Art Museum has had a recent expansion with a new building designed by the same architect who conceived the modernistic Guggenheim Museum in Bilboa, Spain, that has received great acclaim.

Forbes, Inc. recently published two surveys that rank Denver very high in terms of both real estate potential and business prospects. Forbes identified real estate markets around the country that are expected to have the highest future price appreciation for real estate. Denver came in 8th in the U.S. The Raleigh market was ranked first in the survey followed by two markets in Texas. Colorado in general fared well in this study with nearby Colorado Springs placing 6th. All the high ranking markets had the common theme of having a large number of people in the local work force employed in high growth industries. Colorado also scored high in another Forbes study which rated states for the best environments for business and careers. For the second year in succession Colorado came in 4th in the U.S. on this survey. Specific categories used for ratings were growth prospects, costs, economic climate, regulatory environment, quality of life, and labor supply. These results support the assertion that Denver in particular and Colorado in general are good places to live and work and the future looks relatively bright compared to other areas of the country.
